In this privacy statement of hotel Schaluinenhoeve you can read which data we collect from you, who can view it and for what purpose we do this.

Purpose of data

In order to place a booking we ask you for some contact information and personal data. This is necessary in order to manage your booking. In addition, we need contact details if something happens that we need to inform you of. If you make a contact request via our contact form, of course we need your contact details. We also use your name and e-mail address for the digital newsletter. You can give your permission digitally or verbally. Depending on which service you purchase from us, we may ask for the following information: contact information, address, company data, e-mail address, telephone number, gender, bank account, IP address and browser information.

Receivers

Only the employees of Schaluinenhoeve who are authorized to do so have access to certain information about you. We also work with a number of other parties in order to be able to carry out our work properly. Stardekk supplies our booking software. The email addresses for the newsletter are stored in MailChimp, a tool for creating and sending newsletters. Via Google Analytics, we collect data via the website in order to improve our website. Although this is done anonymously. In addition, our website is hosted by Blocc. We do not provide any personal data to third parties unless this is necessary in order to report criminal offences.

Storage period

Your data will be stored for a maximum of 10 years. We keep this information in case you want to make a booking in the future. Your email address in MailChimp will be deleted as soon as you indicate that you do not want to receive any more newsletters.

Security

We take measures to ensure that your details do not fall into the wrong hands. Only authorized persons have access to your data. The systems we use are secured with a password and, where possible, two-step verification.

Your rights

You have the right to request access to, correction and/or deletion of your personal data. Even if you choose not to receive any more communication later in time, this is not a problem. For example, you can request an opt-out of our newsletter at any time by clicking on ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of the newsletter, or by letting us know that you no longer want to receive communication. In that case we will remove your contact details from our database. Do you have a complaint? If so, you have the right to submit it to the Dutch DPA.
